Terms of Service

Terms of Service: Elite Movers LLC (Sterling, VA)

A) Customer Responsibilities

A customer or authorized representative (at least 21 years of age) must be present for the duration of the move. All personal items must be fully packed in boxes, totes, or bags prior to our arrival. Furniture drawers and cabinets must be emptied, and all appliances must be disconnected. Extremely fragile items and valuables should be relocated by the customer before the move begins.

Elite Movers LLC will not, under any circumstances, move firearms, jewelry, money, precious metals, or important documents. We assume no responsibility for the loss of these items.

Customers must notify the company immediately of any quality concerns during the move so they may be addressed in real time. Upon completion, the customer must physically inspect the truck’s box and cab; we are not responsible for missing items reported after departure. Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may forfeit any future claims.

B) Rates and Payment

All moves are subject to a two-hour minimum charge, billed hourly thereafter in 30-minute increments. Billing begins upon arrival and includes loading, transit, additional stops, unloading, and reassembly. If a lunch break is taken, it will be documented and deducted from the total time unless the customer chooses to pay for it as a gratuity.

Quotes are estimates only and do not guarantee a maximum charge. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. Moves may be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. The deposit will be applied to the final balance, which is due upon completion via credit or debit card. We do not accept checks. The company reserves the right to halt services at any time for any reason.

C) Liability and Insurance

Our liability is limited to the standard Virginia state-required Released Value Insurance of 60 cents per pound, not to exceed $50 per article. We do not offer additional insurance, though customers may purchase third-party moving insurance. We are not responsible for damages caused by acts of God, public enemies, or other factors beyond our control (e.g., traffic, accidents, or mechanical breakdowns). We are not liable for incidental expenses such as lost wages, hotel stays, or rentals resulting from delays.

We assume no liability for:

- Live animals, plants, or perishable goods.

- The mechanical or electrical function of electronics and appliances.

- Glass, mirrors, marble, or paintings not properly crated by the customer.

- Antiques or furniture with compromised structural integrity.

- Items removed from storage or containers not originally loaded by our company.

- Oversized items moved through restricted areas.

- Damage to floors, walls, banisters, ceilings, or doors.

- Missing items on local moves, as these are not inventoried.

D) Claims and Legal

Payment must be made in full before any claim will be considered. All claims must be submitted in writing to elitemovers4@gmail.com within 15 days of service, accompanied by supporting photos. Claims filed after 15 days will not be accepted.

The customer agrees to Loudoun County jurisdiction for any civil claims and agrees to attempt mediation in the event of a dispute. The customer shall indemnify and hold the company harmless against all losses, liabilities, and legal fees arising from the customer’s failure to fulfill their obligations under this agreement.

Best regards,
