Elite Movers LLC – Terms of Service

Customer acknowledgment

By booking, accepting, or using local moving services provided by Elite Movers LLC, the customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to read, understand, and agree to these Terms of Service, including the valuation coverage, liability limitations, and customer responsibilities outlined in this agreement.

1. Customer responsibilities

The customer or an authorized adult of legal age must be present during the move. All personal belongings must be packed before the movers arrive. Furniture drawers and cabinets must be emptied, and appliances must be disconnected.

Elite Movers does not transport cash, jewelry, firearms, precious metals, important documents, or other irreplaceable valuables. Customers must inspect the moving truck upon completion and report any concerns before the crew leaves.

2. Moving rates and charges

All moves have a two-hour minimum charge. Hourly billing begins when the movers arrive and continues through loading, transportation, unloading, furniture placement, and requested assembly. Additional time is prorated in 30-minute increments.

Estimates are not guaranteed final prices. Any documented crew lunch break will be deducted from billable time.

3. Reservations and cancellations

A $100 deposit is required to reserve a move and is applied toward the final balance. The deposit is nonrefundable if the customer cancels. Customers may request rescheduling at least 24 hours before the scheduled move, subject to availability.

4. Payment terms

The remaining balance is due upon completion of the move by an accepted payment method. Personal checks are not accepted. Elite Movers reserves the right to stop services for nonpayment or unsafe working conditions.

5. Valuation and liability

Elite Movers provides Released Value Protection at $0.60 per pound per damaged item, based on the item's weight rather than its purchase or replacement value.

Elite Movers does not offer or sell additional moving insurance for purchase. Customers seeking greater protection must arrange their own coverage through an independent third-party insurance provider before the move.

6. Delays and mechanical conditions

Elite Movers is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, accidents, truck breakdowns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We are not responsible for consequential expenses such as lost wages, hotel accommodations, rental vehicles, or missed appointments,

We do not guarantee the internal mechanical or electrical operation of appliances or electronic devices when no external damage occurred.

7. Fragile items, customer-packed boxes, and property damage

Fragile and high-value items, including glass, mirrors, artwork, antiques, and electronics, are subject to $0.60 per pound Released Value Protection, where applicable. No additional insurance is available for purchase through Elite Movers.

Elite Movers is not responsible for damage caused by improperly packed customer boxes, pre-existing damage, or items previously loaded or stored in a truck, storage unit, or container by another company or individual.

Customers must request floor and carpet protection before moving begins. Elite Movers is not responsible for damage to floors, carpets, walls, doors, stairs, railings, or other property.

8. Claims and damage reporting

Customers must report damage or missing items as soon as possible. Written claims should be submitted to elitemovers4@gmail.com within 15 days after the move, including photographs and supporting documentation.

Claims will be reviewed under the applicable valuation terms. Payment obligations remain in effect while a claim is being reviewed.

9. Legal terms and disputes

Customer agrees to submit to Loudoun County jurisdiction and laws in the case of any civil claims. Customers agree to indemnify and hold Elite Movers harmless against losses, claims, including attorney fees and reasonable legal expenses arising from the customer's failure to fulfill obligations under this agreement,
